Training

“For the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them.” -Aristotle

As with any other practice, research involves particular skills and accepted types of behavior. The workshop and training information provided aims to help students prepare to work safely, to conduct research ethically, and to communicate their work effectively. The information also provides faculty with guidance on mentoring undergraduates in research and with Virginia Tech policies on student training and compliance requirements, including working with minors.
